The last few days I've concentrated on activities that remember; today, prompted by an article by Gail Rodgers, sent to me by a friend yesterday, we'll focus on looking forward.

Gail urges us to consider New Year resolutions in a different light: rather than focus on what we want, or creating the usual "to do" list, she encourages us to think about writing 'to be' resolutions as well.

She writes:"Rather than centring your focus so much on what you are doing... ask God to help you get fresh insight on what you are becoming. Make your own "to be" list this week. Mine looks like this:

Be thankful... for little things.
Be joyful... by choice.
Be patient... deliberately.
Be kind... on purpose."
