Different states have different requirements, however homeschooling families are able to develop curriculum and learning programs
to suit the individual needs of their children.

Why We Need Your Help

Homeschool Australia is owned and managed by Beverley and Robin Paine and supported by their small, home-based self-publishing business, Always Learning Books. The work done to maintain and support Homeschool Australia's online presence is done on a voluntary basis. As our operating expenses are relatively low we can afford to invest considerable time and energy into providing the free homeschooling community support services, such as those listed above and on the menu at your right.

In the past we have not charged membership or subscription fees, or accepted paid advertising. However, a change in circumstances has meant that we now derive all our income from our writing and publishing endeavours and because of this we have begun to accept advertising on our websites. We are funded solely by modest sales through our on-line store, advertising by educational and homeschool suppliers and, more importantly, by generous, voluntary gift contributions from people like you!

Your donation will help us continue to
encourage and support homeschoolers
and help them become confident with
teaching their children at home!

By deliberately choosing to operate as a 'for-profit' corporation, we hope to model sustainable small business practices. We hope that our efforts and success will encourage others, especially young homeschool graduates, to earn an income from what they believe in and what they love to do most.

To be successful long-term, we believe that we must operate through self-funding, either through sales of our publications, through sensitive and appropriate advertising on our websites and through the generous donations of our friends in the Homeschooling Community.

We are not asking for much. In fact, if every person who joined our Newsletter announce list, or participated in our online Support Group, or who used our extensive homeschool and curriculum articles Library were to contribute $10 or $20 dollars a year -- a couple of dollars a month -- we would have the funding to meet all of our financial commitments without difficulty. A gift of any size, small or large, is greatly appreciated.

Since 1989 Robin and Beverley have devoted thousands of hours annually to promoting and supporting the rapidly growing home educating community of Australia. During this time they home educated their three, now adult, children. Beverley has written and self-published many titles on home education which she sells from home. Their small self-publishing business, Always Learning Books, and the suite of Homeschool Australia websites, provides their only source of income. Your donation will enable them to continue to do this work for years to come!

Pioneering members of the home education movement in Australia, Beverley and Robin Paine are passionate advocates of true educational choice for families. They began homeschooling their children in 1986 and three years later started the South Australian Home Based Learners network. Beverley wrote several books and booklets on home education through her self-publishing business, Always Learning Books. Beverley retired from actively supporting home education in July 2008 to allow her to spend time on her garden and writing projects. She maintains an extensive collection of websites as well as several Yahoo groups supporting families teaching their children at home. Beverley continues to support the Home Education Association of Australia as a committee member. Beverley's books will remain available through her websites. Gradually all of her books will be converted to E-books as she makes the transition to a 'paperless office'.
